Where can I go boating in Québec?

Do I need to wear a lifejacket?
You are required by law to have an appropriately sized lifejacket on your boat for each person on board. While you are not legally required to wear it at all time, it is strongly recommended. The majority of boaters who are injured or killed on the water in Canada are not wearing lifejackets or not wearing them properly – it is not worth the risk!
Is there good fishing in Québec?
The yellow walleye is a favourite among sport fishers in Québec, as well as the popular northern pike. Large- and small-mouth bass are found in lakes and rivers with low currents, and you can also find sturgeon and the muskellunge in the provincial waterways. Make sure you familiarize yourself with all the rules and regulations surrounding fishing in Québec before you cast your line!
Do I need drivers licence to drive a boat?
You don’t…but you DO need a boat license! The requirement for boat drivers to hold a Pleasure Craft Operator Card regulations came into effect in 2009 to ensure safety on the water, and allow boaters to adequately prepare themselves before heading out.
